
Biography
Casserly Media is run
by Charles Casserly. With an MBA in marketing and BA in journalism, he has designed Web sites since 1996, and
used the Internet since the early 1980s.
Career highlights includes
stints at Unisys, TV Guide
and NFR Communications. Free-lance clients included Minnesota Sports,
Skyway News,
Hospital News Minnesota, and the Minnesota
Timberwolves.
He was Webmaster
and financial news content provider for the Minnesota
Bankers Association public site. He developed Web sites for many community banks
across Minnesota and gave presentations on why financial institutions need
to get
on the Web.
He became involved in the Minneapolis Downtown Council and
its volunteer
committee, the Downtown Network, chairing that
committee in 1994 and 2004. Since 1996, he organizes 300 volunteers
for the largest block party of
them all, the Aquatennial Hennepin Ave. Block Party.
Casserly Media began in 1994
and was launched full time in
1999.
Community
For four straight years, 1992 to 1995, Charlie and his crew won the Minneapolis Aquatennial's Milk Carton Boat Races
Theme Race speed and creativity races, unprecedented in the history of the event.
Charlie continues to be an unofficial spokesman for the
races in newspaper and radio interviews. At
right is an image of the 1995 boat, "Fair Nokomis."
